warmth
a midday snooze
here I settle
here I muse

on carpet soft
I stretch my paws
arch my back
I mews, I roars

in other news,

between a mysterious persistent headache and the pathetically fallacious weather, I've been confined to my bed for much of the week. watching the light change in my room as the days pass. staring at the ceiling and playing with my eye floaters, chasing them around my field of vision. feeling like the cat in my poem

this book had no reason to be this long. I think it’s funny how literary fiction is made out to be the serious genre for serious readers, when reading long fantasy volumes like these makes nabokov feel like a holiday. there were so many characters to remember and magic systems to wrap your head around, it was exhausting.

music
